Lindsay Lohan has now asked her lawyer to take legal action against her dad, stat.

We've learned Lindsay contacted her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, yesterday, asking her to get a restraining order against Michael Lohan, who has been selling his daughter out on TV, talking about her alleged drug use.

Chapman Holley tells TMZ she's putting together a case against Michael and will decide which legal move makes the most sense. Aside from getting a restraining order, Chapman Holley could file a defamation lawsuit against Michael on Lindsay's behalf.

Chapman Holley is also getting in touch with authorities in New York, trying to find out if Michael may have violated a criminal protective order.

If you thought the Lohan family drama was going to come to an end anytime soon--think again. While Michael Lohan is busy talking to news outlets about his daughter Lindsay Lohan and her alleged drug use, Lindsay has taken to her twitter page to blast her father. And her latest claim is beyond disturbing.

Lindsay, who is seeking a restraining order against her dad Michael Lohan claims that he threatened to kill her mom Dina.

She wrote on her Twitter page: "He's a deadbeat dad. He's disgusting to do this, he needs help."

Speaking about her fathers relationship with her mother, she said, "She blames herself for staying w/him for so long. She didn’t leave because he always threatened to kill her if she did. (sic)"

Those are some serious claims Lindsay's making! She's so furious with her father she's already sent her lawyers after him hoping to sue him for defamation.

Earlier this week Michael released phone messages he had received from Lindsay in which she was crying hysterically. "No one cares about me . . . It's about how they feel, not how I feel. It's not about me. It's never been about me, unless I fight for it," she says throughout the message.

So why is Michael airing Lindsay's dirty laundry? He claims he's doing it to "protect" her.

He said: "I want my daughter off prescription medication. She never needed it in her life... I'm not going to watch my daughter die. Hate me now, but you love me more later because I'm gonna turn her life around."

This family has some serious issues. Instead of talking to the press they need to get their entire family in therapy and stop airing their dirty laundry. Someone needs to put a stop to this asap!

Lindsay Attacks Her Father Via Twitter

Lindsay Lohan’s only outlet, it seems, is her Twitter account. She just went off on a tirade against her father Michael Lohan, in response for him releasing audio recordings of her crying out for help.

Today, Lindsay wrote: "Its so sad that I even have to share this w/everyone, but I haven't had a real relationship w/Michael Sr. in years. That is the truth. Xox. I just hope I can show others how to be strong through times & to be able to stand up for yourself and loved ones no matter what!"

Yesterday, an audio recording of what Michael Lohan claims I sLindsay sobbing to him was released online. But Lindsay says, "Good news is, I haven't called him many times @ all-so, it will end sooner than later!!! Lol"

But Michael just claims he’s concerned with the health of his child. "I want to get her into a long-term rehab to get off the prescription medication and whatever else," he says. "Regardless of what people say to me, Lindsay is my first concern."

We just want to know what’s really going on with Lindsay! She’s so quick to call her dad out, but she never acknowledges that she may have a problem. Would a father really make something like that up about his daughter?? Who do you believe?

Dina Lohan Begged Lindsay to go to Rehab

Here we go again! Michael Lohan has released yet another recorded audio conversation but this time it is between Dina and Michael. During the conversation which was taped back in September of 2008 Dina is upset because she can not get her daughter Lindsay Lohan to enter rehab.

"You don't even know what I'd go through trying to get her into, like, rehab and stuff," Dina is heard telling Michael in a audio released by Radar Online. "She'd like, punch me in the face, kick me out of the car...like you don't know the (expletive) I went through trying to get her an intervention by myself. It was very difficult."

Dina continues, "She's really sad and really hurt and really...despondent. I told her not to go to L.A. at 18...she did. I couldn't leave these other three (Dina's three other kids with Michael) to go get her and it was, like, a mess."

It's pretty sad that Michael is releasing all these personal tapes but he seems to be trying everything he can to get his daughter help. What he doesn't understand is that he is ruining his relationship more with his daughter. Lindsay called her dad a lunatic earlier this week.

"I admit, I'm being a bit selfish in releasing the tapes," Michael told Radar. "But I'm tired of being lied about. I'm tired of Dina and others making me out to be someone I'm not, so now I'm going to prove to the world who the real liars are."

The bad news about the Lohan's is that the family is still a big mess. The good news is they never getting boring. Yesterday, Lindsay Lohan had posted a Twitter comment branding her father as a "lunatic" and Michael is now responding.

Michael responded to those claims by telling X17: "As far as Lindsay is concerned, if she retracts her statement and goes into a rehab, I will stop. But if the lies continue and prescription drug use don't stop. Neither will I.

Say it ain't so!! There's a nasty rumor going around that Lindsay Lohan is hooking up with Hollyscoop's favorite hunk Gerard Butler.

Lindsay was reportedly seen locking lips with Gerard after performing a raunchy dance for him at the Sol Kerzner Mazagan Beach Resort in Morocco, or at least that's what the Britain’s Daily Mirror is reporting.

While Lindsay Lohan's father Michael is busy talking to entertainment shows about his daughter and her alleged drug problem, Lindsay is taking to her twitter page to slam her dad calling him a "lunatic."

"My father is a lunatic & doesn't even deserve such a title since he's never been around in my life other than when he'd threaten me & my family...He should be where he has always put himself after verbally abusing and physically abusing people all my life-behind bars," Lindsay wrote on her Twitter page.

She added, "It's so sad to get a phone call from my baby sister just now asking, 'why is daddy doing this?' Through tears. He's crossed the lines & hurt me & my family 4 the last time."

Michael claims to have taped conversations between him and Lindsay's mom Dina discussing Lindsay's well being...or lack thereof, and is planning on releasing them to a news show soon. But Dina isn't going to let that happen without a fight.

"We're going to stop it from airing. He is in violation of my order of protection. My attorney sent a cease-and-desist letter, and a copy of my order of protection I have against him. He is now in violation of my criminal order of protection. He harasses me, and calls my cell phone, which he is not allowed to call," Dina tells People.

Megan Fox and Ashley Tisdale Also Burglarized

We’ve just learned that Megan Fox and Ashley Tisdale were both victims of the group of burglars who also targeted the homes of Lindsay Lohan, Audrina Patridge, and Paris Hilton.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that Megan’s boyfriend Brian Austin Green’s Hollywood Hills home was robbed during the string of celeb break-ins. Items were taken, such as Green's recreational gun, which was locked up, and Megan’s clothes, like several of her signature t-shirts.

Brian didn’t realize he was robbed because he had been shooting a movie in NYC. As Hollyscoop previously reported, the group of burglars did this to all their celebrity victims, by targeting their homes when they knew they’d be out of town.

Sources say cops retrieved the stolen goods and returned them to him last week. No word yet on what was taken from Ashley’s Toluca Lake home.

The latest development in the case is that the DA is reportedly filing charges later this afternoon against five suspects -- Courtney Ames, Nick Prugo, Diana Tamayo, Roy Lopez Jr. and Alexis Taylor.

Charges against Rachel Lee will not be filed today because the D.A. wants more info from the LAPD. Stay tuned for more information.

Lindsay Lohan to Shoot BBC Documentary in India

Lindsay Lohan is following in Jessica Simpson’s footsteps and heading to India! She showed up at the Rock The Kasbah event in LA last night, hosted by Sir Richard Branson.

Lindsay told Pacific Coast News that she was inspired by Branson, whom she met while in Dubai, to do charity work. “I’m going to India soon, actually, before Thanksgiving,” Lindsay said, “And I’m doing a documentary for the BBC Network.”

She continued, “It all happened actually when I was in Dubai. I like to support charities I think it’s important to kind of have a voice when you can have one, and make a difference.”

The reporter asked Lindsay what inspired her to do the project, and Lindsay said, “It’s basically on the trafficking of children in Behar India. So it’ll be starting soon. We’re just trying to work out the times and the dates. I’m a little nervous, but I’m excited to do something like that.”

Lindsay also said, “I think if you’re in the position where you can say something that people will listen to and make a difference, no matter what else gets said, because I know I deal with that more than most people do at this point, I think you should use it. I think you should use your voice for the right reason. There’s no reason you shouldn’t. And that’s what validates you at the end of the day.”

According to TMZ, Lindsay’s rep confirmed that she’s attached to the project. She told the judge last week that Lindsay has been on the straight and narrow, and even included the fact that her client is involved in the documentary.

If you thought Michael Lohan was done talking about his famous daughter Lindsay Lohan and her alleged drug addiction, think again.

Michael has already done about 15 interviews this week alone about Lindsay, so he figured why not publish a letter about her too. His letter, published in the new issue of In Touch, begins with an apology for "the pain and inner turmoil that I am responsible for, for being away in prison or getting divorced from Mom."

He goes on to call Lindsay his "blessed daughter," adding, "I have held your vacant body in my arms, felt the tears fall down your face, and I tried every way to make you see what is happening to you.

"I have helped so many others 'successfully,' Linds, please, Honey, let me help you. Let me help you get your life back so that you can build it to where you once were."

He concludes by writing, "God bless us all in this time of need. I hope and pray to hold 'my Lindsay' in my arms once again. Soon. Love Dad."

The magazine also published a letter by her ex girlfriend Courtenay Semel that read, "I look at you and I want to cry. I see myself in you six months ago."

It's sad that Michael is attempting to help Lindsay and the media is just bashing him for it. Sure, he's doing too many public interviews about it, but it's only because she won't pick up his calls or be willing to talk to him in person.

4 Women Arrested in Lindsay and Audrina Robberies

The LAPD have been working overtime to find out who burglarized the homes of Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Patridge! And according to People, they were able to identify four more people in connection with the first person they found, Nicholas Prugo. And they’re all women!

A source says one of the women, 19-year-old suspect Rachel J. Lee, is also under investigation for possibly being involved in the $2 million jewelry heist at Paris Hilton's home last year, and is suspected of being the ringleader of these crimes.

Patridge's home was broken into on Feb. 23, and over $43,000 in jewelry and designer clothes were taken. Lindsay’s home was burglarized on Aug. 23 and $128,000 in jewelry, designer clothes and accessories were taken.

The LAPD has no comment as of now. Details to follow!

Again, Michael Lohan has come out swinging against daughter Lindsay, who he claims he's trying to help but is really just humiliating with each publicity-crazed outburst.

This time, in response to Lindsay's Twitter attack on him yesterday (for releasing recordings of her phone calls to him), he says she's just "grasping at straws."

Naturally, Michael is defending his release of the Lindsay phone call tape, saying he did it because she belongs in rehab and the end justifies the means, or something.

Unfortunately for Lindsay, Michael is so "upset" about his daughter "calling him out" on Twitter, he's planning to release "everything" he has on her. Compassionate.

That supposedly includes texts of what a great father he is. Riiiight.

Michael Lohan did own up to doing drugs, which Lindsay Tweeted about in her rant yesterday: "I got my life back on track. I want her to get her life back on track."

Not sure how trashing your girl on every site or program that'll have you is what we'd call "getting your life back on track," but whatever helps you sleep at night.

Looking as if the deep brunette hue which she dyed her hair a few weeks ago is beginning to lighten up a bit, Lindsay Lohan kept up with her daily routine in Los Angeles on Saturday (February 16).

The Mean Girls starlet did the shopping/lunch combo, visiting stores including Club Monaco in Beverly Hills, along with a bite to eat at Cafe Med.

And it appears that Lohan is regaining her typical high spirits, as a store insider recently told FOX Pop Tarts, “Lindsay is a store regular — she came in not long after she got out of rehab and even then seemed a little withdrawn. But this time she was back to business, looking hot and having fun.”

Lindsay Lohan is supposedly trying to recover from a drug and alcohol addiction, and I'm sure it is hard when you're always clubbing!

Lohan was spotted at a West Hollywood club this week trying to fulfil her sexual addiction by flirting with Leonardo DiCaprio and Adrian Grenier. When that didn't work out Lindsay was seen sipping on Champagne and vodka according to the Daily News.

This isn't the first time Lindsay has been busted traveling off the wagon. On New Years, a photog snapped the pic above of LiLo sippin' on Champagne. After that "isolated incident," Lohan evidently called her AA-sponsor to get back on track.

Old habits die hard with Lindsay Lohan. Not only was she drinking vodka and Champagne last night at S Bar in Hollywood, she was also doing some man hunting.

Lohan's first victim of the night was 'Entourage' star Adrian Grenier. She flirted with him a little before pulling him onto the dance floor, but eventually lost her prey to another girl.

So who was her next target? None other than Leonardo DiCaprio! Lohan made her way over to his table, where Leo was partying with Kevin Connolly and Lukas Haas and “She was very flirty with Leo,” says a spy. “But he wasn’t saying much to her.”

Leo only dates supermodels, Lilo should have known better. Both Adrian and Leo left around 2AM and Lohan stayed behind with some girlfriends--presumably waiting for fresh meat.

The movie takes place in the three days leading up to Lennon's assassination and is intended to be a deep exploration of Chapman's psyche, without putting substantial emphasis on the murder. The title "Chapter 27" suggests a continuation of J.D. Salinger's classic novel The Catcher in the Rye, which ends on chapter 26. Chapman attempted to model his life after Holden Caulfield, the main character of the book and was carrying a copy when he shot Lennon.

According to the Spanish-language newsweekly Proceso, and other Latin American publications, the title was also inspired by Chapter 27 of Robert Rosen's book Nowhere Man: The Final Days of John Lennon. Rosen's book explores the numerological meaning of 27, “the triple 9,” a number of profound importance to John Lennon. Lennon was obsessed with numerology, particularly Cheiro’s Book of Numbers, and 9 and all its multiples. Lennon was born October 9, 1940. His son Sean Lennon was born October 9, 1975. His wife Yoko Ono was born February 18, 1933. His songwriting partner with the Beatles, Paul McCartney, was born June 18, 1942. Lennon wrote such songs as Revolution 9, Number 9 Dream, and One After 909. Lennon received his green card, after a long legal battle, on July 27, 1976. Though Lennon was murdered in New York around 11 p.m. on December 8, 1980, it was already December 9 in England, the country of his birth. It was Chapman’s goal, according to Rosen, to write Chapter 27 "in Lennon’s blood."

The plot of the movie itself was drawn from the Chapman biography Let Me Take You Down, by Jack Jones, who is given a screen credit. Let Me Take You Down, however, provides no information on the numerological meaning of Chapter 27, and fails to show how Chapter 27 played into the heart of Lennon’s obsession with numerology, Cheiro, the number 9, and all its multiples.

The movie takes place during the last live performance of the show as the new radio network owners have sent an axeman (Tommy Lee Jones)to close the show. Another fantasy element is thrown in as an angel (Virginia Madsen) stalks the theater to take one of the performers. Keillor essentially plays himself, even using his own name for the character. Lily Tomlin and Meryl Streep play the singing Johnson Sisters, with Lindsay Lohan as a suicide-obsessed daughter of Streep. Woody Harrelson and John C. Reilly are hilarious as the slightly off-color singing cowboy duo, Dusty & Lefty. Kevin Kline is a security guard who act as the narrator. Maya Rudolph also appears as a pregnant stage coordinator. Contains some mild sexually-oriented jokes.

Ashley (Lindsay Lohan) is the luckiest woman in New York City while Jake (Chris Pine) is one of the unluckiest men, with one bad event happening after another. After kissing Jake at a masquerade ball she organized for a client, Ashley realizes she's swapped her good fortune in turn for Jake's bad luck. Ashley breaks her shoe, rips her dress, loses her job and her apartment, while Jake receives a brand new apartment and a record deal for his band, McFly. Ashley tries to find Jake again to kiss him and therefore regain her luck. However, Jake was masked, so she does not know what he looks like so she kisses all men who could be him (including all the male dancers at the ball, whom Jake was pretending to be in order to get into the ball), and tests whether he is the right one by scratching a gambling scratchcard. After giving up, they meet in a cafe after Ashley is covered in mud and has no money for food. Jake feels sympathy for Ashley because he has been unlucky himself. After a while she realizes that it was Jake who was at the ball, and regains her luck by kissing him again. Later, at a concert managed by Jake, where things go wrong due to Jake's newly regained bad luck, she feels sorry for him and kisses him again to transfer the luck. Ashley has feelings for Jake, but thinks that a relationship would not work because they would have to kiss. She is about to leave New York to visit her parents for a while when Jake shows up at Grand Central Station after finding out about the kisses transferring luck. He convinces her to stay and says having her is worth more than being lucky all the time. Eventually they both kiss Jake's younger cousin on opposite cheeks at the same time, thus transferring the luck to her.

Herbie: Fully Loaded

During the opening credits, viewers are reintroduced to the once famous Herbie – The Love Bug. It is revealed that he has been a famous racing car, but eventually went into a decline. Viewers then see that he has been consigned to a junkyard, where he is condemmed to demolition.

The focus then shifts a college graduation ceremony. There, one Maggie Peyton (Lindsay Lohan) becomes the first of her family to receive a college degree. Maggie will be spending the next few weeks living with her father Ray Peyton (Michael Keaton), owner of the Peyton Racing Team. This team, founded by Maggie's grandfather, has been famous in the past, but Maggie's brother Ray Jr. (Breckin Meyer), who is currently its driver, is incompetent. His lack of drivers' skill and of any passion for racing has led to the team's lack of victories, which in turn have caused its sponsors to lose confidence. Maggie, under the influence of her family, was once a great street racer, but as a result of an accident, her frightened father refuses to let Maggie race again. Instead, Maggie is designated to go to New York to work as an assistant producer for ESPN.

Ray decides to get a car for Maggie as a graduation present. Due to their lack of money, all he can do is bring her to the junk yard and tell her to choose the car she wants. Maggie goes from car to car, never paying attention to Herbie although he is constantly trying to make himself noticed. When Maggie has chosen a car, Herbie drops from a crane onto it. Frustrated, Maggie buys Herbie instead.

Upon entering Herbie's interior, Maggie is given a wild ride by the relieved Beetle through the back streets of the town. They arrive in the garage of an old friend and would-be beau of Maggie's, Kevin (Justin Long), who was Maggie's mechanic during her street races.

Kevin agrees to help fix Herbie and joins Maggie for a test drive. Once again, Herbie takes over and races through town, bringing them to a car show featuring the current NASCAR champion, Trip Murphy (Matt Dillon). Maggie does not admit to any of those who address her that she owns Herbie; annoyed, he sprays oil on Maggie's shirt. Luckily, there is a racing jumpsuit and helmet in the trunk, so Maggie wears the jumpsuit to replace her own clothes. When she searches for the key, Herbie literally knocks Maggie into the helmet. On the helmet is the name "Max", which presumably belonged to a previous unseen driver of Herbie. When Trip Murphy insults Herbie, Herbie defaces Trip's prized racing car.

An offended Trip confronts the helmeted Maggie, whom he does not recognize, and challenges her to a street race. Herbie takes over during the race, but eventually Maggie learns to control the car and rides the rail of a fence to pass Trip and win the challenge. ESPN films the whole thing.

Later that day, back at home, her dad's main sponsor, Sally (Cheryl Hines), brings a tape record of the race to show Ray as a joke. Ray sees Herbie winning the race and confronts Maggie, who improvises the lie that 'Max' is a friend of Kevin's, who had borrowed Herbie for the match.

In his workshop, Trip is ashamed of having lost to a Volkswagen Beetle. Seeking revenge, he sponsors a two-day, $10,000 challenge to all street racers.The first day is to be spent finding the local street champion; on the second day, Trip will challenge that champion to a match.

Kevin and Maggie restore Herbie. 'Max', as Maggie is called when hidden by her helmet, races and wins the first day of competition. That night, Trip approaches Maggie and lets her drive his NASCAR racing car, so as to distract her with pleasure while trying to discover Herbie's secret within the engine. He fails to discover the secret.

Maggie returns; Trip, suspecting that 'Max' and Maggie are the same person, wagers his racing car against Herbie on the coming race. Maggie accepts the wager.

The next day, the race occurs. When Maggie, now partially a believer in Herbie's intelligence, urges him on so that she may win Trip's racing car, Herbie refuses to complete the race. Maggie is further disgraced when she responds to Trip's command that she remove her helmet and reveal her identity.

Now the new owner of Herbie, Trip loads the Bug up onto a transporting truck and takes him away. Ray rebukes Maggie for lying to him.

Maggie, distraught and ashamed of her own behavior, approaches Trip to buy the car back, but finds that he has already sold Herbie to the owner of the local demolition derby. This derby is a gladiatorial competition, wherein the drivers of several cars drive at great speed/velocity toward each other, intending to crash and shatter their opponents.

Maggie heads out to the derby arena and is shocked to see a trembling Herbie in the middle. The owner tells Maggie that if Herbie survives intact, then she can have him. Maggie rushes out into the ring, dodging cars as she runs towards Herbie. She vows never to "give up" on him, whereupon he resumes his customary agility, audacity, and finesse. He spectacularly leaves the arena, destroying a Monster Truck in the process.

Meanwhile, back at Peyton Racing, Ray Jr. is accepted into the coming weekend's NASCAR race, but crashes and injures himself thereafter. His depth perception is damaged, leaving him incapable of driving. Maggie offers to drive in his place, but is refused on the grounds that she is all that remains to her father of his dead wife.

Back at Kevin's garage, a dejected Maggie and Kevin try half-heartedly to decide what to do with Herbie. The Peyton Racing Team arrive, led by Ray Jr. He tells Maggie that he wants her to drive. Maggie agrees, on the condition that she drive Herbie and no other. Herbie is therefore rebuilt into a standard racing car.

On the next day, Maggie and Herbie confront Trip, leaving him frustrated.

The race begins. Herbie and Maggie are at first left behind, but proceed. As they slowly progress to the front of the line, Herbie is cornered by the other cars on all sides. Maggie, frightened, is contacted over a radio transceiver by her father, who has come to help her reach victory. When the car behind Herbie knocks him onto the car before, he climbs over it and continues his advance.

The collision damages Herbie's oil tanks; the mechanics replace them with similar tanks taken from Sally's Volkswagen. Though this has temporarily solved the problem, Maggie is warned that she should be careful not to bump into the other cars, as it may put Herbie in danger.

Hearing this, Maggie considers surrender. Herbie, however, refuses to agree to this. He resumes the race, with Maggie in his seat, and soon brings himself to the attention of Trip Murphy.

Trip's team-mates advise him to concentrate on the race and take care of revenge later; but he disregards the advice. He tries repeatedly to crush Herbie and Maggie against a wall.

In the execution of such a manouvere, Trip misses and his car hits the wall at full speed. Trip loses control and lands upside down in front of Maggie. Herbie, at this, rolls onto the fence above Trip, rides on it at an unconventional angle, and lands perfectly in front of Trip. This echoes the move he made in Herbie Rides Again of going up the side of a cliff, as well as a similar move executed at the end of Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo, wherein he won by overtaking his rival on the roof of the Monte Carlo F1 curcuit. Herbie concludes his present race on a plot of grass grown in the middle of the oviform racing track. The crowd, having grown engrossed in Herbie's progress, celebrates this triumph.

Trip's frustration at having lost so spectacularly combines with his correct guess that Herbie is "alive" (ergo, autonomous and intelligent), causing him to accuse Herbie in a manner that leads his teammates to brand him insane. He is therefore incarcerated.

Kevin's romantic interest in Maggie is finally fulfilled when Herbie, noticing their proximity and the trend of their conversation, knocks them together. They kiss one another.

Herbie, too, is given romantic fulfillment when Ray permits him to court Sally's yellow Volkswagen Beetle, whom he has earlier met. Ray, however, insists on a curfew.

Mean Girls

Mean Girls is a 2004 film written by (and co-starring) Tina Fey. It stars Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert and featured several Saturday Night Live cast members, including not only Tina Fey but also Tim Meadows, Ana Gasteyer, and Amy Poehler. It has been praised as being Lindsay Lohan's true break-out role.

Director Mark Waters described the movie as "Clueless meets Heathers," the latter of which was written by his brother, Daniel Waters. Mean Girls is based on the non-fiction book Queen Bees and Wannabes by Rosalind Wiseman, which describes how female high school social cliques operate, and the effect they can have on girls. Similar to its inspiration Clueless and Heathers, the film was a surprise sleeper hit, and generated much discussion upon its release on high school cliques and bullying, despite the film being a light-hearted approach to those subjects.

Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen

15-year-old Mary (Lola) Steppe (Lindsay Lohan), desperate for attention, moves with her family from New York City to the suburbs of Dellwood, New Jersey, to her disapproval. Her self-centered attitude then gets a reality check as she begins to realize she must compete against the current popular girl in school, Carla Santini (Megan Fox). Lola befriends an unpopular girl named Ella Gerard as they both share a love for the fictional band Sidarthur (spelling as in script, however sometimes interpreted as Sidartha or Sid Arthur - possibly a play on Sid Vicious and Sidhartha), whose lead singer, Stu Wolf (Adam Garcia), Lola has a crush on, and Ella has a crush on Steve, the guitarist.

Lola tries out for the school play, a modern version of Pygmalion named "Eliza Rocks" because the teacher wanted to base it on a modern-day New Yorker with "modern, hip" music. After getting the part of Eliza over her brand-new enemy Carla, the resentment between the two grows. What comes next is an announcement over the radio that Sidarthur has broken up and that Stu Wolf does not ever want to work with the band again. Lola and Ella are devastated.

Lola and Carla end up challenging each other on the dancing machine after school at an arcade. While there, Carla reveals that she already has tickets to Sidarthur's sold-out farewell concert due to her father being Stu Wolf's lawyer (mentioned earlier in the movie) as a revenge against Lola. Lola lies to Carla that she and Ella have tickets, too, based on a connection of her mom's. Lola wins the dancing machine game and earns some respect from the others.

Lola tries to get tickets as well in order to upset Carla. Because she gets grounded and has no allowance, Lola asks Sam, a friend who kind of adores her to "borrow" Eliza's dress. He nearly gets caught when Miss Baggoli (the drama teacher) gives the performers a break from training and goes to the drama room, but she is distracted by Lola while Sam hides as a mannequin, behind a mirror, and eventually exits behind Miss Baggoli's back. Ella offers to pay for both of their tickets at first. After failing to obtain tickets legally, Ella and Lola take a train to New York City in order to buy tickets from a scalper. But things don't go as well as they thought.

Lola had left her bag behind the sink on the train, and so doesn't have enough money to pay the scalper for illegal tickets. They try to get in, but a bouncer stops them. They walk the streets trying to find Stu's after-show party, but Lola's dad, Calum Steppe and his dog is following them. He promises to back off, but he threatens to come in if he sees anything wrong. He tries to tail them from further away. They finally get in after finding Stu passed out in an alley and taking him to a diner, where he throws a doughnut at a police officer. Stu is taken to the station, where Ella finds out Lola lied about her father being dead. When they arrive at Stu's house, Ella is still angry, but when they are dressed in Stu's clothes and in his room, she forgives Lola and the two have some fun. Later, Lola and Carla see each other and Carla becomes upset. Lola tries to discuss Stu's music with him, but ends up confronting him with the fact that he is a drunk after he rambles the whole time giving silly answers.

When Lola and Ella return to school, they try to talk to Carla about the party, where they saw her and she freaked out. Carla and her posse pretend they never saw her and convince the whole school that she is a liar using their claims, the fact that her father, who Lola claimed was dead, is really alive, and that Lola's birth name is Mary. Carla repeats this at the rehearsal about the party, which causes Lola to become depressed and not show up at the big night. Ella talks to Lola about how much everyone depends on her and Lola agrees. At the play, Lola does her role well and her mother, who has been calling her Mary against Lola's request, finally tells her that she is a Lola.

After the play, Carla Santini is having a party when Stu turns up, trying to find Lola to return her bottlecap necklace. Carla lies to everyone by telling them that Stu came to see her. When he finds Lola, he tells her he's gone into alcohol rehab. Carla backs up, trying to hold back tears and falls into her fountain. Lola comes over and helps her up, and Carla smiles a little at Lola. Lola turns back to Stu, and the two dance, which fades into Sam and Lola dancing, and the last scene shown is Lola and Sam, kissing in front of a fountain in Carla's house

Freaky Friday is a children's novel by Mary Rodgers first published in the USA in 1972, in which a teenage girl, Annabelle Andrews, and her mother, Ellen Andrews, switch bodies and learn to understand each other better.

It is also the name of three Walt Disney Company movies with similar plots based on the book:

The 1976 version stars Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster.
A Disney television version was made in 1995.
Their counterparts in the 2003 film are Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan.
The book might be considered a modern re-telling of Vice Versa, the 1882 novel by F. Anstey, in which the protagonists are a father and son.

Two sequels followed Mary Rogers' book, featuring the same characters. In "A Billion for Boris," Annabelle and her friend Boris discover a TV set that tunes into future broadcasts and begin betting on horse races. The book "Summer Switch" concerns Annabelle's brother and Dad, Ben and Bill, who switch bodies, leaving the youngster to negotiate Hollywood and Dad to deal with camp. A television film of "Summer Switch" was made in the mid-80s, starring Robert Klein. In the 2003 version, Annabelle Andrews' name is changed to Anna Coleman.

The Parent Trap

Hallie Parker (Lohan) is an 11-year-old girl growing up in the Napa Valley with her father, Nicholas "Nick" Parker (Quaid), a successful vineyard owner and a viticulturist. Annie James (also played by Lohan) is a Londoner living with her wedding-gown-designer mother, Elizabeth "Lizzie" James (Natasha Richardson). When the film begins, neither twin knows the other exists, as they were separated as babies when the parents were divorced and each took one child.

By coincidence, Hallie and Annie are both are sent to Camp Walden in Maine for the summer. Rivals at first, the lookalikes soon discover the secret that had been kept from them, and concoct a plan to switch places at the end of the summer camp so they may meet the parent each has never known, and hopefully to eventually reunite their parents. The switch is successful, with Hallie taking Annie's place in London and Annie taking Hallie's place in Napa.

On Annie's side, she learns that their father plans to soon marry his ambitious young publicist, Meredith Blake (Elaine Hendrix), who secretly only wants him for his money. Annie contacts Hallie to update her on the new situation, forcing both girls to speed up their plan to get their parents to meet.

In London, Hallie reveals her true identity to their mother, Elizabeth, and tells her that Nick wants to meet up in a hotel in California. However, as far as Nick is concerned, the weekend getaway at that hotel is only for Annie (as Hallie) to get to know Meredith and Meredith's parents. At that hotel, Nick and Elizabeth cross paths for the first time in twelve years, and all is revealed, including their daughters' plan to reunite them.

Nick and Elizabeth are of the belief that a reunion would be difficult, so they decide to return to their separate homes, each bringing their daughter with them, though visits are to be arranged for Annie to be with Nick and Hallie to be with Elizabeth. Hallie and Annie disapprove of this plan, and insist that Nick take both of them to the promised annual camp by the lake. Nick and Elizabeth go along with this, for the girls have promised to not make a fuss when the camp is over.

Nick, Hallie, Annie and Meredith go for the camping trip. The girls play a series of tricks on Meredith, culminating in an enraged Meredith insisting that Nick choose between her and the girls. Nick chooses the girls, and the engagement is off. The twins are relieved, believing that now their parents are able to reunite, but to their dismay, Elizabeth insists that she and Annie return to London.

As soon as Elizabeth and Annie arrive at their home, they are greeted by Nick and Hallie, who took the Concorde to get there first. Nick declares that he made the mistake of letting her leave before, and he will not do it again. A tearful reunion takes place for the two, and the twins are overjoyed. The final credits feature photographs of the second wedding between Nick and Elizabeth, now with the twins in tow.

Lindsay Dee Lohan (born July 2, 1986) is an American actress and pop music singer. Lohan started in show business as a child fashion model for magazine advertisement and television commercials. At age ten, she began her acting career in a soap opera; at eleven, she made her motion picture debut by playing both twins in Disney's 1998 remake of The Parent Trap.

Lohan rose to stardom with her leading roles in the films Freaky Friday, Mean Girls and Herbie: Fully Loaded. Her subsequent roles include appearances in Robert Altman's final film, A Prairie Home Companion and Bobby. In 2004, Lohan launched a second career in pop music yielding the albums Speak (2004) and A Little More Personal (Raw) (2005).

In recent years, Lohan has been the subject of media scrutiny focusing on her personal life.

Early life
Lindsay Lohan was born in The Bronx and grew up in Merrick and Cold Spring Harbor on Long Island in New York. She is the eldest child of Michael Lohan, a onetime actor, and the former Donata "Dina" Sullivan. Lohan has three younger siblings: brother Michael had a role as "Lost Boy at Camp" in The Parent Trap (1998), sister Aliana is an aspiring model and actress, and brother Dakota (Cody) has modeled fashions.

Lohan is of Irish and Italian heritage and was raised as a Catholic.[1] She originally pronounced her surname ˈloʊhæn but later settled on ˈloʊən. In 2005, Lohan explained to a TEENick audience that she had decided to use Morgan as her middle name because it sounded more professional.

Lohan—when she wasn't tutored on film sets—attended public schools on Long Island, including Sanford H. Calhoun High School. She finished her studies at home through Laurel Springs School of Ojai, California.

Lindsay's family was financially comfortable. Her mother, Dina, was a Wall Street analyst before becoming Lohan's manager. Dina also claimed that she worked as a Rockette, though Radio City Music Hall records have failed to verify this claim.

Lindsay's father, Michael, inherited his family's pasta business, which he later sold to trade in futures (briefly becoming President of New York Futures Traders). Sentenced to four years in prison in the late 1980s, Michael spent much of his daughter's preteen years in prison for securities fraud. More recently, Michael worked as an investment banker, securing funding for independent films. In 2005, he was sent back to prison for nearly two years, released in March 2007, for "aggravated unlicensed driving" and attempted assault. Michael currently works with Teen Challenge.

In December 2005, Michael and Dina signed a separation agreement. In August 2007, Lohan's parents announced that their divorce proceedings had been finalized.

Acting career

1996-2003

Lohan's debut as an actress on Another World.Lohan began her career with Ford Models at age three and, at a time when blue-eyed blondes were in highest demand, the freckle-faced, auburn-haired child found little work as a fashion model. She persisted and eventually appeared in more than 100 print ads for Toys "R" Us. She also modeled for Calvin Klein Kids (usually with siblings Michael and Ali) and Abercrombie Kids. Through young adulthood, Lohan was featured in such diverse magazines as Vogue, Elle, Bliss (UK), Хай Клуб (High Club, Bulgaria), and Blenda (Japan).

Lohan's first auditions for television work did not go well; by the time she tried out for a Duncan Hines commercial, she told her mother that she would give up if she did not get the job. She was hired, and Lohan went on to appear in over 60 commercials, including a Jell-O gelatin spot with Bill Cosby. Her ad work led to roles in soap operas, and she was already considered a show-business veteran in 1996 when she landed the role of Alexandra "Alli" Fowler on Another World, "where she delivered more dialogue than any other ten-year-old in daytime serials" of the time.

Lohan gave up Another World for the big screen when director Nancy Meyers cast her to play the dual roles of the estranged twin sisters who try to reunite their long-divorced parents (Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson) in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap. Hired in 1997 at age 10, Lohan was 11 when filming began in England and California (in Los Angeles and the Napa Valley). "I left school for eight months," she said. "When I came back, my friends [asked], 'Where'd you go?' I said, 'My family and I went on a long vacation.' Then the movie came out, and they were, like, 'Um, Lindsay? That's you in Parent Trap,' and I said, 'Oh, yeah. I also did this movie while we were gone.'" Trap was well-received for a family comedy, bringing in US$92 million worldwide. Film critic Janet Maslin found Lohan's dual performances so forceful "that she seems to have been taking shy violet lessons from Sharon Stone." Critic Kenneth Turan called Lohan "the soul of this film as much as Hayley Mills was of the original, and … she is more adept than her predecessor at creating two distinct personalities".

Signed by Disney to a three-film contract, Lohan was offered the role of Penny in Inspector Gadget but, after seven months' work on The Parent Trap, she turned it down. Later, she starred in two original television movies, Life-Size (2000) (with Tyra Banks) and Get a Clue (2002). She also played Bette Midler's daughter in the first episode of the short-lived series, Bette (2000), but Lohan, then 14, quit when the production moved from New York to Los Angeles. In 2001, she hosted the ABC-TV commercial series commemorating Walt Disney's 100th birthday during a rebroadcast of The Parent Trap.

Following a brief hiatus, Lohan won a lead role in another Disney remake: Freaky Friday (2003), starring Jamie Lee Curtis. Through 2005, Friday was Lohan's biggest commercial film success, earning US$160 million worldwide.

2004-2006
In 2004, Lohan was given the lead in two films, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (her first feature that was not a remake) and Paramount's Mean Girls, both released in 2004. Drama Queen was a modest success at the box office, grossing about US$30 million, but was a failure with critics. "Though still a promising star," Robert K. Elder wrote, "Lohan will have to do a little penance before she's forgiven for Confessions."

That "penance" came with Mean Girls, her first PG-13 (and first non-Disney) film. Her breakout lead performance pushed the critical and commercial hit to gross US$128 million worldwide, "cementing her status as the new teen movie queen," wrote Brandon Gray. "Lohan dazzles us once more," said Steve Rhodes. "The smartly written script is a perfect match for her intelligent brand of comedy." Mean Girls was scripted by Tina Fey and featured several alumni of Saturday Night Live; Lohan was asked to host the show three times, in 2004, 2005, and 2006.

In 2005, Lohan became the first living person to have a "My Scene Goes Hollywood" doll released by Mattel. She also voiced herself in the direct-to-DVD feature film based on the dolls.

Lohan returned to Disney for Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005), the fifth film in the long-dormant Herbie series. Her rising popularity allowed her to choose from a wider variety of projects and, at age 19, Lohan felt Herbie would help her make the transition into more grown-up roles. "In most of my other films, I was in high school," she said. "Here, [my character is] just out of college. It's nice to be able to do something that I think will be acceptable to the fan base I've accumulated from my Disney movies, but subconsciously they'll see me getting older and maturing." Fully Loaded earned $144,146,816 worldwide.

Her next film in wide release, Just My Luck, opened in May 2006 to poor reviews and earned only $38 million worldwide. The following month, A Prairie Home Companion, in limited release ended its run with $25,648,948 globally. "Lohan rises to the occasion," wrote Peter Travers, "delivering a rock-the-house version of 'Frankie and Johnny'." Lohan completed filming the independent Emilio Estevez film, Bobby, opposite Elijah Wood, in December 2005; the film débuted at the Venice Film Festival on September 5, 2006, and was released in theaters on November 23, 2006, though it earned a weak $19,560,892 worldwide with mixed reviews. Chapter 27 with Jared Leto began filming in New York on January 9, 2006, and had wrapped by March. No release date has been announced.

Lohan was voted #10 on the list of "100 Sexiest Women" by readers of FHM. Maxim placed her at #3 on its 2006 Hot 100 list. In 2007, Lohan placed at #1 on the Maxim "Hot 100".

2007-present
In February 2007, shortly after admitting herself to a medical rehabilitation facility, Lohan relinquished the role of Hester Worsley in a film adaptation of Oscar Wilde's A Woman of No Importance to focus on her health. The role then passed to Jessica Biel.
On May 11, 2007, Georgia Rule was released in which Lohan starred alongside Felicity Huffman and Jane Fonda. The film — whose production received adverse publicity when a letter from a studio executive to Lohan criticizing her professionalism was made public — received mostly negative reviews. It grossed US$6.7 million at the box office in its opening weekend and to date has grossed over US$22 million worldwide.

On July 24, 2007, Lohan - in the wake of her arrest withdrew from a scheduled appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote her starring role as a stripper in the film I Know Who Killed Me. On its opening weekend, the film was #9 at the box office — grossing $3.5 million.

She also withdrew from the independent film Poor Things.

Entertainment Weekly quoted the head of a major film studio as saying, "Her career was over long before she had these troubles... Right now, she'd have to pay a studio to get herself into a movie."

Music career
Hoping to become a "triple threat" (actor/model/singer) like her idol, Ann-Margret, Lohan began by showcasing her singing talents through her films. For the Freaky Friday soundtrack, she sang the closing theme, "Ultimate"; she also recorded four songs for the Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen soundtrack.

Producer Emilio Estefan, Jr. signed Lohan to a five-album production deal in 2002. "The minute I heard her sing, I knew she was gifted," he said, "and [she] has an incredible ability to connect with her audience. I am very excited to be working with her." Lohan—who said she was "extremely excited"—added, "I am surrounded by a group of very talented people." Two years later, Lohan signed a recording contract with Casablanca Records, headed by "diva-maker" Tommy Mottola.

Personal life
Lohan has been a frequent attendee at various nightclubs and social events - at times being photographed with nightlife fixtures like Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. Responding to the media's portrayal of her as a "party girl", Lohan commented, "People say, 'Oh, she goes out and she parties'. No, we are just going out and having fun."

Lohan's three car accidents in 2005 were widely reported. The first was a minor rear-ender, though the victims later threatened to sue her. In the second, she suffered minor injuries when a paparazzo who was following her for a photograph hit her car. Police called the crash intentional, but prosecutors said there was not enough evidence to file criminal charges. In the third, Lohan struck a van in West Hollywood. Police ruled that the van's driver made an illegal U-turn. When VH1 named Lohan "Big 'It' Girl" for its 'Big' in '05 Awards in December, it was, Lohan quipped, "because being Big in '05 means getting in three car crashes in one year, people!".

January 2006, Lohan went to hospitals twice. In the first incident, she cut herself on a broken teacup while in London; in the second incident, she suffered an asthma attack while in Miami.

In an interview published in the March 2006 issue of Allure magazine, Lohan said she hoped to be taken seriously as an actress, adding, "I hate it when people call me a teen queen." She addressed the numerous romantic rumors ("I know now that I don't need a boyfriend.") and her weight loss ("I will say that I went through a phase. I lost weight when I was in the hospital, and then I wanted to keep it off."). Lohan said 2005 "felt like five lifetimes because I've grown up a lot".At around the same time, she is reported as having looked into the teachings of Kabbalah Centre, saying, "All of us need something. You have to grab on to whatever gets you through."

July 25, the filming of Georgia Rule was delayed while Lohan was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital for treatment of overheating and dehydration, her third hospital visit in 2006. In a letter to Lohan and others associated with the production that was later made public, James G. Robinson, CEO of the film's production company, Morgan Creek Productions, wrote:

"You and your representatives have told us that your various late arrivals and absences from the set have been the result of illness; today we were told it was 'heat exhaustion'. We are well aware that your ongoing all night heavy partying is the real reason for your so-called 'exhaustion'."
Lohan's fourth 2006 hospital visit occurred in September when Lohan was treated at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City after breaking her wrist.

On January 18, 2007, Lohan checked herself in to the Wonderland Center rehabilitation facility in West Hollywood's Laurel Canyon area. Through her representative, she issued a statement saying, "I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health." In a later interview, Lohan said, "It's so weird that I went to rehab. I always said I would die before I went to rehab." But she added that, even after regularly attending meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous, "I don't know that I'm necessarily an addict."

Controversies

May 26, 2007 arrest
On May 26, 2007, Lohan lost control of her Mercedes-Benz convertible and struck a curb. Police found "additional contraband" in the car - which was tentatively identified as a "useable" amount of cocaine. After receiving treatment for minor injuries, Lohan was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Two days later, Lohan entered the Promises rehabilitation facility in Malibu, staying for 45 days. A week later, on July 20, Lohan, accompanied by her attorney, surrendered herself to be fingerprinted and photographed. She was released on her own recognizance and assigned a court date of August 24.

Lohan reached a plea agreement with the prosecution on the charges, pleading guilty to two charges of being influence of a controlled substance (cocaine), and no contest to two counts of driving with a blood-alcohol level above .08 percent and one count of reckless driving. She was sentenced to serving one day in jail, performing 10 days of community service and completing a drug-treatment program. In a statement, Lohan said "It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs".

July 24, 2007 arrest
In the pre-dawn hours of July 24, 2007, the Santa Monica police received a 911 call from a car being driven by Michelle Peck - whose daughter had left her employment as Lohan's personal assistant several hours previously. Peck reported that she was being chased by a white GMC and feared for her safety. The police later found Peck and Lohan having a "heated debate" in the parking lot of the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. Lohan refused to take a breathalyzer test, but agreed to other field sobriety tests. After failing these tests, she was taken to a police station where her blood alcohol level was tested at between 0.12 and 0.13 percent - above the California legal limit of 0.08 percent. While conducting a search, the police found a small amount of cocaine in her pocket.

A few hours after Lohan's release on $25,000 bail, her attorney, Blair Berk, issued a statement:

“ Addiction is a terrible and vicious disease. Since Lindsay transitioned to outpatient care, she has been monitored on a SCRAM ["Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor," bracelet and tested daily in order to support her sobriety. Throughout this period, I have received timely and accurate reports from the testing companies. Unfortunately, late yesterday I was informed that Lindsay had relapsed. The bracelet has now been removed. She is safe, out of custody and presently receiving medical care. ”

Access Hollywood host Billy Bush said he received an email from Lohan on July 24 in which she stated:

“ I am innocent... did not do drugs they're not mine. I was almost hit by my assistant Tarin's mom. I appreciate everyone giving me my privacy. ”

CBS News reported that some days later, Lohan checked into Cirque Lodge, a drug rehab, alcohol and addiction treatment center in Sundance, Utah. This represents Lohan's third rehab program in 2007.

On August 14, 2007, Tracie Rice filed a lawsuit against Lohan at Los Angeles County Superior Court for assault and negligence for the incident of July 24.
